- THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUEST FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. This Sources Sought Synopsis is in support of Market Research being conducted by Southeast Regional Maintenance Center, Mayport to identify potential sources, and if this effort can be competitive or a Small Business Set-Aside. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 541330- Engineering Services which has a corresponding Size Standard of $38.5 million dollars per year. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all businesses to include 8(a), small business and small disadvantaged business, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-owned small business concerns. The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a description of similar services to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three (3) years. Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. The services to be furnished under this contract will support the repair and maintenance of Navy Surface Combatant ships primarily homeported in Mayport Fl. This support includes providing technical assistance, engineering change and field change support, troubleshooting, installation, alteration, test, certification, shipboard assessment support, refurbishment of electronic, electrical and mechanical shipboard systems. Ancillary support requirements include providing integrated logistics support (ILS) for Hull, Mechanical, Electrical (HM&E) and Combat Systems. These services will support Navy Shipboard Command, Control, and Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I), antisubmarine warfare (ASW) and undersea warfare (USW) support. The scope of this effort will include the full gamut of specialized technical support on advanced electronic systems (e.g. Aegis combat System) to shipboard repairs on ventilation, cooling water, electrical, cable, and fiber (e.g. welders, machinists, painters). Currently, the Combat Systems support services are being provided by General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. under a SeaPort-e Multi-award contract (MAC) N00178-04-D-4012, task order 8B01. The Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical services are currently being provided by General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. under contract N00189-04-D-0030 as well as by AMSEC under contract N00189-04-D-0036. The estimated value of the follow-on procurement will be between $5-7M per year. A five year contract is planned. Disclaimer: This SSS is issued solely for informational and planning purposes.
