- This Special Notice is for informational purposes only and shall not be considered as an invitation for bid, request for quotation, request for proposal, or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect cost or changes by the Government will arise as a result of contractor participation in the Industry Day. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) will conduct an informational Industry Day on Thursday, 13 November 2014 in Solomons, Maryland. The objective of this event is to enhance Government-industry communication, conduct market research, and increase competition in support of Naval Aviation by presenting the Long Range Acquisition Forecast (LRAF) and providing the opportunity for meetings between industry and NAVAIR/NAWCAD technical personnel. The Industry Day will take place in the Chesapeake and Potomac ball rooms of the Holiday Inn Select Solomons located at: 155 Holiday Drive Solomons, MD 20688, USA (410) 326-6311 The event will be held from 0745-1700 with check-in starting at 0630 EST. The Industry Day agenda will consist of summaries from senior NAVAIR/NAWCAD and Program Executive Office (PEO) leadership. A formal agenda will be posted on NAVAIR's Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) public website (http://www.navair.navy.mil/osbp) in September 2014. There will also be time allotted in the afternoon for industry to engage with technical personnel and other POCs from NAVAIR PEOs and competencies. This will be a time to learn more about specific acquisitions. This will not be an opportunity to discuss specific company capabilities or engage in sales/marketing; however, you may provide company literature. Additionally, on Wednesday, 12 November 2014 from 1730-1930, there will be a "non-hosted" welcome reception at Isaac's Pub, Holiday Inn, to which all Government Industry Day speakers and industry are invited. This evening event will provide another networking opportunity for all who attend. You do not need to register for the Industry Day Event to attend this "non-hosted" welcome reception. Early check-in will also be conducted at this time. The Holiday Inn Select, Solomons, has blocked 50 rooms for those needing overnight accommodations.
