- The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, Houston, Texas is soliciting proposals for a contractor to provide services for the day-to-day operations of the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) Vivarium Unit. The scope of work will include labor, materials, and maintenance agreements, associated with the administration, veterinarian, and animal care components of a successfully accredited animal research facility operation. Services shall be in accordance with the Statement of Work in the contract. The anticipated Period of Performance for these services is 10/1/2014 through September 30, 2015 with four (4) option years. This solicitation will result in a requirements-type firm fixed-price contract. The Request for Proposal (RFP) number is VA256-15-R-1471 The applicable NAICS code is 541940 and the size standard is 7.5 million.
