Description

The government is in need of a contractor to provide guided tours of the Glen Canyon Dam/Power Plant and Carl Hayden Visitors Cente (CHVC) to the public. CHVC is located in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, approximately 1 mile West of Page, AZ on Highway 89. The visitors center is managed by the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) with cooperation from the National Park Service (NPS). Although this requirement is with Reclamation, the Contractor will be working with the NPS and other government and non- government entities. Open hours for the CHVC and minimum number of daily tours are: Memorial Day through Labor Day: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; 13 tours, up to 20 people each; March through May: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; 7 tours, up to 20 people each; September through October: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; 7 tours, up to 20 people each; November through February: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; 4 tours, up to 20 people each; Closed Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Days. The resulting contract will be for a base year, with options for four additional years, plus a six month extension, for a maximum potential period of performance of five years and six months.
