Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER: The Department of Veterans Affairs, SAO West - Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22, for the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS), Engineering (138) intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, CareFusion 2200, Inc. The statutory authority for restricting competition under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) Test Program for Sole Source, commercial item acquisitions above the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT), currently $150,000, is 41 U.S.C. 1903, as implemented by FAR 13.500(a), CareFusion, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Alaris Infusion Pumps has identified CareFusion 2200, Inc. as the CareFusion certified and authorized to provider. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 811219 with a size standard of $20.5M. The small business set aside has been dissolved. This requirement is unrestricted. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the specifications above may give written notification to the point of contact no later than 8:00 A.M., (PST) on September 15, 2014. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
