- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Trident Refit Facility (TRF) at the Naval Submarine Base in Kings Bay, GA, requires an 800 kw / 1200 AMP Trailer Mounted Diesel Generator or equivalent, at a minimum, 60 HZ, 480 Volts, enclosed in a sound attenuated, weather protected corrugated steel cargo container with doors and lights, diesel fuel operated engine, skid mounted generator and diesel engine, double wall secondary containment, integral fuel tank with at least a 1,600 gallon capacity, 24 volt starting system for the diesel engine, with built-in charger, double wall secondary containment; supply/return dip tube package (3/4 ); Low fuel (2 NPT, set at 50%): fuel in basin alarm (2 NPT, top mount); Basin drain (1/2 NPT); DOT vented fill cap/riser (2 NPT) (in lieu of standard vent); Krueger fuel gauge (2 NPT); emergency pressure relief cap (5 NPT) (Qty:2); 5 elbow for containment basin emergency vent; standard black paint color, valve spring check (3/4 NPT) for supply line to engine; 5 gallon spill containment (tank mounted); 3/8 extra fitting with plug; extra piping connection with plug (2 NPT) spares, integral fuel tank with at least a 1600 gallon capacity, a 40 ft. long trailer (+/- 10%), must hold steel cargo container, chassis, new/new condition (i.e. with new tires and brakes), that meets Georgia state DOT standards (and documentation of applicable state DOT inspection criteria), with the diesel generator enclosure mounted on it. Applicable NAICS: 335312Small Business Size Standard: 1,000 This requirement is a Small Business Set-Aside and will be awarded as a single, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. Note: Closing date referenced in this advertisement is the closing date for the receipt of the Request for Proposal (RFP). No verbal or phone proposals will be accepted. All questions must be submitted to Mr. Michael Adorno at Michael.adorno@navy.mil in accordance with solicitation number N68836-14-R-0068, once posted. All questions, clarifications, and/ or comments must be submitted in writing. Answers will be posted as an amendment to the solicitation. The deadline for submitting questions is 10:30AM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), 16 September 2014. Any question(s) submitted past the due date will not be answered. Expected date of award is on or about 30 September 2014.
