Description
The Naval Medical Logistics Command intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.106) with Medivators Inc., 14605 28th Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55447-4822. The requirement is for a Medivators DSD EDGE Endoscope Reprocessing System at 96 Medical Group, Eglin AFB. The unit shall have two independent, asynchronous reprocessing basins, shall be able to run simultaneous or independent cycles, shall have an automated leak testing which will minimizes endoscope repair costs, shall have a cycle customization to meet specific reprocessing needs, shall have an automated alcohol flush which will facilitate air drying of endoscope channels, shall have an optional Data Management Software for cycle tracking and record keeping, shall have the ability where no mixing or pouring of disinfectant solution takes place, virtually no contact between staff and chemicals, shall have floating lids to contain disinfectant vapors, shall have an optional vapor management system, shall have a single-use chemistry which provides fresh and full-strength disinfectant for each reprocessing cycle, shall be able to reduce the worker exposure with closed-bottle system, shall be able to reprocess wire guided savary dilators, shall be able to reprocess transesophageal echocardiogram probes (TEE Probes), shall be able to reprocess all makes, brands and models of flexible endoscopes to include Olympus, Pentax, Fujifilm, KARL STORZ, Richard Wolf, and Welch Allyn. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures FAR 13.106. There are not set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) 339113 with a small business size standard of 500. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Capability statements shall be submitted by email only as a MS Word or Adobe PDF attachment to Derek Bell at derek.bell@med.navy.mil. Statements are due not later than 4:00 PM on 27 Sep 14.
