Description

The existing Aviat Networks, formerly Harris Stratex ™s Constellation 155 radio system is near the end of its life. Endeavors to fix the problems are temporary and place the entire system at risk of complete failure without the upgrades. Utilizing Aviat Networks The update/replacement of components of a larger microwave radio system are to include the engineering, supply, and installation of two (2) new 178 Mbps (115xDS1) radio links and two (2) Aviat Networks, formerly Harris Stratex, 155 (OC-3) radio links in various locations in the Puget Sound, WA region. Aviat Networks ™ Eclipse Packet Node digital microwave radio which supports hybrid transport of native Ethernet and native TDM traffic is the only system compatible with the structures that are to remain in place. The proposed updated system is a modular platform which will be equipped with Gigabit Ethernet, DS1, and OC-3 (muxed) interfaces will support the Navy ™s requirement for an upgrade of their network.
