- 100% Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise (IEE) Set-aside, for Small Business IEE concerns in accordance with the Buy Indian Act. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Office of Justice Services, Division of Tribal Justice Support R - Chief Magistrate service for the Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico CFR Courts, as required by the Department of the Interior (DOI), Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Office of Justice Services (OJS), Division of Tribal Justice Support. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only notice; Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation is issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The North American Industry classification (NAICS) code is 541199. This acquisition is being solicited accordance with FAR Part 13.003 and DIAR 1480.280-1, as a total Small Business Indian Economic Enterprise Set-aside. The Period of Performance (POP) shall be 12 months, plus four 12-month option periods. The resultant contract will be awarded as a labor hour contract as defined in FAR 16.202. The Government intends to make a single contract award. Due to the urgent need, the response period and proposal due date is shortened. See the complete solicitation for SOW and other details. BACKGROUND The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Office of Justice Services, Office of Tribal Justice Support (TJS) is charged with overseeing the continuing operations of the Courts of Indian Offenses (CFR Courts), 25 U.S.C. 3611(c)(5) (2005). The purpose of the Court of Indian Offenses is to provide adequate machinery for the administration of justice to Indian Tribes in those areas of Indian Country where tribes retain jurisdiction over Indians that is exclusive of State jurisdiction but where tribal courts have not been established to exercise that jurisdiction. TJS specifically assist the Albuquerque/Santa Fe CFR Court through contracting and supervising the CFR Court Personnel. To that end, professional services of a Chief Magistrate for the Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico CFR Courts are required.
