This should include waterproof cameras (no separate housing required) and cameras sold with underwater housings, as well as underwater housings for a variety of cameras. The target audience for this information is the emergency responder community and all submittals should be suited to their specific needs. Review of this information is being performed for the DHS System Assessment and Validation for Emergency Responders (SAVER) Program, which aims to conduct objective assessments and validations of commercial equipment and systems and provide those results to the emergency responder community. For more information on the SAVER Program, visit http://www.firstresponder.gov/SAVER or forward inquires to ssc_lant_saver_program.fcm@navy.mil All information received will be treated as public knowledge and may be used in SAVER Program documentation; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietary information in response to this RFI. Specific information sought includes: 1. Company information, including name, address, and website; 2. Whether the company is a manufacturer or distributor; 3. A point of contact for follow-up information, and the point of contacts phone number and e mail address; and 4. Product name as well as information on the product, including type (e.g., waterproof camera, underwater housing only [no camera], or camera with underwater housing); MSRP; and if the camera is capable of capturing video and/or stills. The submitted information will be evaluated for inclusion in SAVER projects. If a SAVER project on this type of equipment is executed, the equipment selection will be based upon a number of factors, including emergency responder surveys and responder focus group inputs. Consequently, follow-up requests for feedback should not be made through the Federal Business Opportunities posting agency. Vendors will be contacted following submission for more detailed product information. Vendor provided information may be reformatted for publication in SAVER Program documents.
