Description
This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because a statute exists that expressly authorizes or requires that the acquisition be made from a specific source or through another agency (FAR 6.302-5); specifically, Sole source awards under the 8(a) Program. Per FAR 6.302-5 a J&A is not required for this award. The contractor shall furnish all parts, material, labor, equipment and supervision necessary to complete the work for Building 66071 Repair Conference Room 103. The work shall include the following requirements listed in the specific requirements. The contractor shall assure the attached checklist and DD Form 1354 are completed and submitted to USACE and Kirtland AFB Reap Property office to get it staffed to the BCE for signature, at the conclusion of the project. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: Demolition:Contractor shall remove existing carpet and rubber wall base, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall saw cut existing slab, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall remove existing soundsoak and fabric, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall remove existing duplexes, j-boxes, wire and conduit, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall remove existing A/V cabling and salvage for reuse, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall remove existing accordion doors, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall remove existing door, frame and hardware, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall remove existing VGA port, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall remove existing wall, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall remove existing lights, ceiling grid, tiles, HVAC diffusers, projector and power supply in ceiling, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall remove existing heat detectors, motion detector, and sprinkler heads and salvage for reuse, as indicated on drawings. Contractor shall remove existing projection screen and speakers and salvage to user, as indicated on drawings.Construction:Contractor shall provide and install new carpet tiles and rubber wall base, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall provide and install new floor box and conduit, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall provide and install new soundsoak, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall provide and install fabric on existing columns, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall provide and install new stainless steel cover plates on existing electrical and comm outlets, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall provide and install new electrical and comm outlets, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall provide and install new doors, frames, hardware, and trilogy locks, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall provide and install new cabinets, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall texture and paint walls, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall provide and install new walls, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall provide and install new chair rail, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall provide new tv mounts, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall provide backing in wall for tv mounts, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall provide and install new light fixtures, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall provide and install new ceiling grid and tiles, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall reinstall salvaged motion detector, heat detectors and sprinkler heads, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall provide and install new HVAC diffusers, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall provide and install new hard lid ceiling, as indicated on drawings.Contractor shall provide and install new speaker, as indicated on drawings.REQUIRED SUBMITTALS: a.Submittals required for all items listed below: i.Carpet ii.Rubber Wall Base iii.Soundsoak iv.Doors, Frames, Hardware and Trilogy Locks v.Lay-in Lighting vi.Canned Lighting vii.Ceiling Grid and Tiles viii.Plastic Laminate ix.Solid Surface
