- This solicitation is seeking quotes for Florabella chairs and loveseats as described below. FAR 52.211-6 and VAAR 852.211-73 Brand Name or Equal applies Justification: The product must match the existing Florabella furniture located in the facilities. The product listed continues with the established interior environment and aesthetics. This includes style, pattern, and wood finish currently on the area. Please read description of items carefully. 1.Definition The contractor to provide product, designed for high traffic areas (public seating). FAR 52.211-6 Brand name or Equal applies. Justification: The product must match the existing Florabella furniture located in the facilities. The product listed continues with the established interior environment and aesthetics. This includes style, pattern, and wood finish currently on the area. The furniture must provide quality craftsmanship and meet the demanding conditions of Health care environments. The product must meet the functional and quality requirements of these areas, including a lifetime warranty. The product is to offer comfort, residential feel and be appropriate to be used in patient waiting areas. The high use seating shall have a contoured seat and back to provide comfort to a wide range of users. The product must have wear points and internal steel to ensure high performance for the he healthcare setting. The seat is to have a sealed underside preventing concealment of objects. The chair to have wipe-out design with tamper resistant glides. The legs should be urethane over-molded to maintain wear resistance and durability to the seating. Seating to have wrapped around sides of the arms to insure durability offering more coverage to surface area where hands normally rub on the chair. 2.Purpose / Requirements a. The vendor is to receive the product, deliver the seating and schedule installation b.Receiving, Staging and Installing: Unless otherwise arranged, the installation and product to be delivered in one trip. If more than one delivery is required due to contractor unforeseen circumstances. c.The contractor is to install the new product on site per the Medical Center's specification and date. No product to be dropped or brought on site before area ready for scheduled installation. Upon installation the site to be left clean and free of debris from the scheduled installation. All card board, packaging and etc. to be removed from the Louisville VAMC premises and taken back with the contractor. d.The installation to be scheduled with Ter'e Schoemehl, Interior Designer EMS Service phone (502) 287-6104. The installation and delivery to be included and scheduled in advance as not to interrupt daily Administration functions. The contractor will need to work in the area during the normal tour of duty. Work to occur while the Medical Center is in operation. e.Receiving, Staging and Installing: The contractor will need to unload product from the Medical Center warehouse and share use with the elevator with Medical Center staff. f.Unless otherwise specified, delivery and installation will be made during normal business hours, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The product should be product to be delivered in one trip. All work to be scheduled with Ter'e Schoemehl. Product to arrive the day of scheduled installation. The Medical Center has no storage or staging space. Product should arrive ready for installation. g.The contractor must possess knowledge of standard skills for the contractor installers to complete the job in a satisfactory manner. h.There should be no security issues.
