Description

The NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center San Diego (FLCSD) intends to issue a sole source purchase order in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) to CDI Marine Company (Government Services Group), 1391 Air Rail Avenue, Virginia Beach, VA 23455. The proposed contract action is for replacement kits of the halon fire suppression system onboard Landing Craft Utility (LCU) 1631 with NAVSEA PM377 approved STAT-X system. See attached parts list that must be assembled in accordance with Navy drawings 5110616 REV, 5110423 REV A, 5110386 REV A, 51100424 REV A and 5110425 REV A. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. In doing so, interested sources must submit detailed technical capabilities and other information that demonstrates their ability to meet the Fleet Logistics Center ™s needs. All parts must have a lead time of 48 calendar days or less for acceptability. Detailed technical information must be submitted to Manuel Pua, Contract Specialist, manuel.pua@navy.mil,no later 19 September 2014, 3:00 PM (PST). This synopsis is not to be considered a Request for Quotation (RFQ) or Proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but responses will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received by the closing date and time noted in this synopsis, a contract may be awarded to CDI Marine Company.
