- Sources Sought for Air-Jacketed CO2 Incubator Synopsis This is a sources sought announcement only. All responses will be used for market analysis in determining the availability of potential qualified small businesses that may be used to determine appropriate acquisition strategy. No solicitation is being issued at this time, but will be issued at a later date. The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center is in need of 2 each Air-Jacketed CO2 Incubators. The incubator shall have high temperature decontamination and is an infrared sensor based CO2 control incubator with advanced technology to ensure a stable environment for cell and tissue culture. The integrated design of the instrument allows for a panless humidity reservoir that protects cultures from drying out and improves recovery characteristics and cell growth. The incubator shall have internal shelves that can be removed without tools. There shall be a high-temperature decontamination feature to ensure proper sterilization of the incubator to ensure proper sterilization of the incubator to prevent culture contamination. There shall be an LED display for temperature and CO2 parameters which is required to monitor culture systems. The incubator shall have an alarm to alert when temperature to CO2 are outside of the set parameters which can lead to cell death if not attended to immediately. The incubator shall not be computer-operated and shall not have any internet connections. The vendor must be able to supply the following: 1) Infrared temperature; 2) Air-jacketed design; 3) Decontamination cycle/contamination prevention features that are non-chemical; 4) On-door temperature and CO2 display with alarms for temperature and CO2 changes as well as "door ajar" warnings, and 5)Removable shelves for easy cleaning that do not require use of tool removal. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed for the procurement is 339113, Incubators, Laboratory Type, Manufacturing. The size standard for NAICS 339113 is 500 employees. The Government requests interested parties submit a response which includes a brief description of their company's business size (i.e. annual revenues and employee size), and business status. The Government will use this information in determining its small business set-aside decision. No pricing input is being requested. This Sources Sought Notice is issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 10. All potential offerors are reminded that lack of registration in the System for Award Management (https://www.sam.gov) will make an offeror ineligible for contract award. When emailing your response, please note that due to increased firewall protections some emails may be blocked; therefore, follow-up via telephone (if an acknowledgement is not received back via email) is strongly recommended to ensure receipt of your submission by the Government. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought synopsis is strictly voluntary. Responses will not be returned. No entitlements to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges to the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses, or the Government's use of such information.
