- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number N6883614T0355 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the latest edition of the Federal Acquisition Circular. This solicitation is issued on a total small business set a-side basis, NAICS Code 488330 applies LEASE TWO BARGES FOR EMERGENCY BERTHING AT TALLEYRAND, JAX PORT CLIN 0001 LEASE OF BARGES 2 EA SCOPE: This performance work statement provides for the leasing of two commercial barges to support the mooring of U.S. Navy vessels at the Jacksonville Port Authority, Talleyrand Marine Terminal Wharf (TMT), Jacksonville, Florida during destructive weather identified as tropical storms and hurricanes by the National Weather Service (NWS) and the National Oceanic and Atmosphere Administration (NOAA). Upon notice from the Government Point of Contact, the Contractor is required to deliver two barges to the Talleyrand Marine Terminal within 96 hours of notice. After the storm has passed and the barges are no longer required, the Government Point of Contact will notify the contractor and have the barges towed away with 96 hours.
