- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number N6883613T0354 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the latest edition of the Federal Acquisition Circular. This solicitation is issued on a total small business set-a-side basis, NAICS Code 488330. CLIN 0001 TUG w/Docking Pilot 3 EACH CHARTER HIRE COMMERCIAL TUGS TO INCLUDE DOCKING PILOTS FOR DEAD SHIP TOWS FROM MAYPORT NAVAL STATION TO TALLEYRAND JAX PORT SCOPE: This performance work statement provides for the hire of commercial tugs with docking pilots to maneuver dead ship tows from Mayport Naval Station basin to Talleyrand Marine Terminal Wharf/Jacksonville, FL Port for emergency berthing of U.S. Navy ships during destructive weather identified as tropical storms and hurricanes by the National Weather Service (NWS) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The Harbor Master, Naval Station Mayport will coordinate logistics of the dead ship moves with the commercial tug company from the Mayport Naval Station basin to Talleyrand and return.
