- THIS FILE CONTAINS THE SOLICITATION DOCUMENT AND STATEMENT OF WORK This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation Notice for commercial items issued pursuant to FAR Subpart 12. Under this notice, the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District is issuing a solicitation package proposal package for the following services. The scope of this project includes loading, transporting, unloading, storage, and maintenance of Government property valued at approximately $50 million. The Government property consists of 6 high-head wheel gates, wheel guides, sill and lintel plates, seals, 6 hydraulic cylinders, and 2 hydraulic power units. The inventory list with weights and dimensions is attached. Loading shall occur at the Morgan Industrial, Inc. warehouse at 4825 NW 235th Avenue, Hillsboro, OR 97124 and shall be transported and unloaded at another storage facility warehouse. The storage period shall be from November 2014 through August 2016. COMPETITION FOR THIS ACQUISITION IS UNRESTRICTED TO BUSINESS SIZE. Additional project details are attached to this notice. The applicable Size Standard is North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 493110, with a Small Business size standard in dollars of $27.5M. The Request for Proposal package is downloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The project information are Portable document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Interested Offerors can download the RFQ Package from this notice. (1) SUBMITTAL DUE DATE AND TIME: The Contractor submittal packages must be received by the USACE - Chicago District Office no later than 04:00 PM CST on 02 October 2014. Your proposal MUST be mailed to the attention of Kim Beard, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 231 South La Salle Street, Suite 1500 Chicago, IL 60604. Please reference the subject solicitation number on all correspondence. IMPORTANT NOTE: IN THE CASE OF A DISCREPANCY BETWEEN THE DATES PUBLISHED IN THIS NOTICE AND THOSE CALLED OUT IN THE ATTACHED RFP DOCUMENT, THE DATES IN THE RFQ DOCUMENT OVERRIDES THOSE PUBLISHED HEREIN THIS NOTICE; THIS IS RELATIVE TO THE RFQ ISSUANCE DATE AND THE DUE DATE FOR SUBMITTAL PACKAGES.
