Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), subpart 12.6, as supplemented by subpart 13.1 and additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center located at 2907 Pleasant Valley Blvd, Altoona, PA 16602 has a requirement for a Multi-purpose Riding mower with attachments Brand Name or Equal to the JOHN DEER 1445 SERIES II COMERCIAL FRONT MOWER (see below for Salient Characteristics) to provide replacement equipment for the Altoona VAMC Maintenance department. This is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside only acquisition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333112, with small business size standard of 500 Employees. Prospective offerors must be registered on the System for Award Management (SAM) website at www.sam.gov to be eligible. Please provide DUNS and/or Cage Code, on Price List. Responses to this solicitation are due by 1700 EST, on 24 September 2014. There are no limitations on the number of pages for your response. Respondents shall include a Point of Contact (POC) to include name, position, telephone number, and email address. Please email responses to Craig Armagost at Craig.Armagost@va.gov. Attachment 1-Salient Characteristics Attachment 2- Clauses Instructions to Offerors. i. Questions concerning this requirement must be submitted via e-mail by September 25 2014, 1300 hours EST to Craig.Armagost@va.gov ii. Quote and Required information are due September 25, 2014, 1600 hours Eastern Time (EST) and must be submitted by e-mail to Craig.Armagost@va.gov by the due date specified. iii. Vendor's shall provide pricing on attached Price Schedule: Vendors must complete and submit Attachment 2- Price Schedule to be eligible for award. iv. Vendor shall provide technical capability requirements as described below to be eligible for award. Price a.Offerors are encouraged to offer their most advantageous pricing with their response. The Government will award from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
