Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 3 (NCO3), James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Bronx New York, intends to award a sole source contract in accordance with FAR Part 6.301-1(a)(2). Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. The Government intends to negotiate a sole source contract with ProVation Medical / Wolter Kluwer Health for maintenance service on the MTGI Provation MD Proprietary Software and System used in GI Medical Equipment at the Manhattan VAMC facility. The place of performance is Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 3, NYHHS Manhattan Campus, 423 East 23 St New York NY, 10010. This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract with a period of performance of one (1) year with up to 4 possible option year extensions. This is not a solicitation and does not constitute a commitment or an obligation by the government. This notice is not a request for offers, quotes or proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; interested parties may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement NLT 25 September 2014 at 1:00 PM EST. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required services. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Provation Maintenance at the Manhattan VAMC and RFI #. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes.
