- SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) PM AIR WARRIOR AWARD OF LINE OF SIGHT (LOS) TRACKING COMPONENTS FULL-RATE PRODUCTION CONTRACT (FRP) ***THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). THIS RFI IS RELEASED PURSUANT TO FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION (FAR) PART 15.201 FOR MARK RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO SEEK PROPOSALS OR AWARD A CONTRACT AT THIS TIME.*** CONTRACT NUMBER: W58RGZ-10-D-0050 NAICS: 336413 1.The U.S. Contracting Command-Redstone is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement for the production of LOS components for the PM Air Warrior. The results of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 336413. 2.THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. 3.BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. 4.If your organization has the potential capacity to perform this contract, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, email address, telephone number, and size and type of ownership for the organization. 5.The nature of the contractual action is a new FRP, 5-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for the purchase of components of the LOS tracking system, repair of hardware, and associated post production support. The contact is required to allow the U.S. Army product manager for the helmet mounted display system to field LOS tracking to various Aircraft within the Army. 6.The Army Contracting Command - Redstone proposed to contract for the minimum quantities shown below: DescriptionQuantity Minimum Advanced Magnetic Tracking Unit (AMTU)260 Boresight Reticle Unit (BRU) -standard130 BRU- mirror130 Seat Position Sensor (SPS)260 Mini-Converter Control Unit (MCCU). 20 7.Interested parties who consider themselves qualified satisfy the LOS FRP in accordance with the prime contractor provided drawing and specifications are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by 1300 CST on 8 October 2014.
