Description

Contractor shall completely prepare the site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing items, and furnish labor, material and equipment necessary to perform work for project 538-15-201, entitled Replace Exterior Campus Signage at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio, as required by drawings and specifications. The general scope of this project is to replace the exterior campus signage, including demolition and removal of existing signs and associated structures, and provide new exterior campus signage as required by specifications and drawings. The new exterior campus signage system includes gateway entrance identification signs, vehicular directional signs, building identification signs, building directory signs, parking identification signs, operational signs, and landmark pylons. Work includes but not limited to furnishing and installing signage, including excavation, concrete, grading, masonry, painting, electrical, seeding, demolition, patching and certain other items as shown and specified. Work to be completed within 365 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Plans, specifications and drawings will be available on line on or about September 23, 2014. All specifications and drawings will be available on line through this website and no hard copies will be issued. Estimated cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. A pre-bid conference will be held Wednesday October 1, 2014 at 11:30 A.M. (local time) in Building 1, Room 121, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 17273 State Route 104, Chillicothe, Ohio; all prospective contractors, subcontractors and suppliers are urged to attend. This will be the only site visit scheduled for this project. Bid Opening is scheduled for Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 1 P.M. (local time) in Building 212, Room 135, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 17273 State Route 104, Chillicothe, Ohio. This project is 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veterans Owned Small Business. Contractors bidding this project should ensure they are registered in VetBiz Registry at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov, under the appropriate NAICS code for this procurement.
