- The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) - Fort Benning, Georgia has a requirement for the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) to provide facility operation and maintenance (O&M) support at Fort Benning and Camp Merrill, Georgia. This includes a full spectrum of facility type: dining facilities, barracks, warehouses, admin buildings, bridges, hospitals/clinics, jump towers, worship centers, gyms, air field, etc. -1,099 facilities @ Fort Benning / 64 @ Camp Merrill -1,302 buildings @ Fort Benning / 51 @ Camp Merrill -108 training areas @ Fort Benning / 9 @ Camp Merrill -73 ranges @ Fort Benning / 1 @ Camp Merrill -Approximately 21,000,000 sq ft of building space -Approximately 185,000 acres of land in GA and AL -Several hundred miles of roads and trails The MICC - Fort Benning will host an Industry Day and include a tour of our facilities to assist industry in better understanding our requirement, and our planned acquisition strategy and source selection. The Government will brief the requirement, answer questions from industry and provide an opportunity for interested parties to exchange information. The Industry Day event will also provide an opportunity for contractors to network with other contractors and build partnering opportunities. Industry Day will provide an open forum to discuss critical topics relative to challenges associated with the DPW - BASOPS requirement. The Government is very interested in hearing any innovative approaches or suggestions in the performance work statement that would allow cost savings as well as incentives. Please be prepared to discuss these innovations/approaches in the open forum. Agenda provided below. Please be aware that it is the Government's intent is to set-aside this acquisition for small business concerns, and more specifically, socio-economic program participation. Small business information requested on the ensuing referenced Registration Form is to be complete and applicable to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 561210, Facilities Support Services. Based on market research, this acquisition may be further restricted to a small business sub-category. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROPOSALS OR BIDS, AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NOTE: The U.S. Government will not be responsible for any expenses incurred by a contractor's decision to participate in this Industry Day. All travel and other associated costs are to be assumed by the interested contractor. This Industry Day is solely for informational planning purposes and shall not be considered as a request for proposal (RFP) or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. INDUSTRY DAY INFORMATION: Date/Time: October 22, 2014/9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Eastern Standard Time (EST) with check-in beginning at 8:30 a.m. EST. Location: Maneuver Center of Excellence Building (MCoE) Bldg 4, 7533 Holtz Street, Derby Auditorium, Room West 101, Fort Benning, Georgia REGISTRATION: Registration is free. NO CAPABILITY STATEMENT REQUIRED Deadline for registration is 4:00 p.m. EST, October 8, 2014. Your timely response is important with the planning of this event and to determine transportation requirement. We request contractors limit attendance to three (3) representatives. All registrants must provide a Government issued photo identification to enter Fort Benning and at check-in. See below registration form.
