Description

FBO NOTICE OF AWARD DUE TO SOLE SOURCE This announcement is to provide notification of the Department of Veterans Affairs intent to enter into a sole source purchase order with Siemens Medical Solutions, 51 Valley Stream Pkwy., Malvern, PA 19355-1406 for a service and maintenance agreement for service to the items listed in Attachment A of this document. This agreement will have a period of performance of twelve months (1 year). The North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 811219. This procurement involves licensed, proprietary software, software upgrades and proprietary passwords. Any interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide service and maintenance and software upgrades. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by Wednesday, September 30, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. CST. Information should be sent to the point of contact identified on page one of this document. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received by the response date the Department of Veterans Affairs will proceed with the intended agreement. Service Description Contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, parts, and expertise necessary to provide preventive maintenance and emergency repairs of Siemens Medical Ultrasound equipment at the Iowa City Veterans Administration Health Care System in accordance with the attached equipment list (Attachment 1). Attachment 1: EQUIPMENT LIST 1.VAID # 636 EE2983847, Siemens Medical Acuson Sequoia S512 Ultrasound Unit, Serial Number: 69238, SITE ID: UNKNOWN, Located in room 2W180-1-IC, Including the following associated items: a. NO VAID, Ultrasound Transducer model 8L5, Serial Number: 81831601 b.
