Description
Attachment #1 Combo Lightning Prediction System Requirement A. Mobile/Portable Lightning Prediction/warning System. Contractor shall provide a mobile/portable lightning prediction/warning system that meets the following minimum criteria: 1. System shall function by monitoring atmospheric conditions of ‘electrostatic potential' for a cloud to ground strike occurrence (or cloud to ground lightning probability before an actual lightning strike occurs). 2. Self-contained and capable of transporting to remote sites with a set-up time less than 45 minutes. 3. Each component of system shall not weigh more than 100 lbs. when packaged for movement (contractor provided). 4. Package configuration shall be able to withstand commercial airline baggage handling. 5. System shall have audible and visual "alert" and "all-clear" notification capability of minimum 110 db at 10 foot distance. 6. Run on either DC or AC power a. DC power requirements determined by contractor. b. AC power requirements: 110-120V, 60Hz, single phase. 7. Contractor shall provide operating and maintenance instructions for system and software. 8. Contractor shall provide minimum of one-year maintenance and warranty on all equipment and software. 9. Contractor shall provide software and peripherals or other equipment required to connect systems to a stand-alone Microsoft compatible computer (government provided) to allow view of system status. B. Delivery. Contractor shall deliver the system completely within 45 days of award. If additional time is required due to weather, holidays, or excusable delays, it shall be coordinated with the contracting officer. Contractor may be required to account for the whereabouts of their personnel should this information be requested by government personnel or the technical POC.
