- Award Notice Date:September 30, 2014 Subject: Award Notice for SIPED II Project Request for Proposal SOL-663-14-000014 USAID/Ethiopia announces the award of a contract in response to the Strengthening Institutions for Peace and Development II (SIPED II) Program RFP, SOL-663-14-000014. The following information is provided herein: 1)Contract Award Dollar Amount:$18,314,244 2)Contract Award Number:AID-663-C-14-00008 3)Contract Award Date: September 30, 2014 4)Contractor:Pact Inc. 1828 L Street, NW, Ste 300 Washington, D.C. 20036 USA 5)Description: The purpose of this contract is to provide USAID/Ethiopia with a set of interventions aimed at strengthening institutions for peace and development. The primary objective of the SIPED II program is to establish and strengthen partnerships between government officials and local communities to better understand and address issues that lead to violent conflict and to ensure that all development and adaptation interventions are conflict sensitive. SIPED II will provide peace building tools to increase accountable governance and resiliency in households, communities and governing institutions.
