Description
Sources Sought Notice - Azithromycin Packets The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) - Troop Support is seeking sources capable of providing Azithromycin Packets. The dosages for this contract will include Azithromycin 1GM Packets Package Size 10. Azithromycin 1GM Packets are used to treat certain bacterial infections, including genital infections. Azithromycin is in a class of medications called macrolide antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This product is available only with a prescription and is sold commercially in the United States and internationally. The primary objective of the contract is to improve the cost-effectiveness of Azithromycin 1GM Packets by obtaining volume-based, committed use pricing for Azithromycin 1GM Packets. The resultant contract will establish a firm fixed-price national contract for Azithromycin 1GM Packets for the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Indian Health Service (IHS) and Bureau of Prisons (BoP) demand. During the effective period of the contract, the estimated annual quantities will be fulfilled through the respective Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor Programs (PPVs). It is anticipated that a one year contract with four one-year options will be awarded. DLA Troop Support has estimated annual requirements of 4,559 packets over the next five years. Ordered quantities shall be delivered to the PPV within 15 days after receipt of order. This is a Request for Information (RFI) and does not commit the U.S. Government to issue a solicitation, make an award, or pay any costs associated with responding to this announcement. All submitted information shall remain with the U.S. Government and will not be returned. If your firm currently markets Azithromycin Packets, please provide information with respect to the following: •a) Place of Manufacture •b) Estimated Annual Capacity •c) U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) New Drug Application or Abbreviated New Drug Application number •d) Current unit sale price For new products under development, describe the current stage of development and whether the product has undergone FDA testing/trials, etc. Firms that currently manufacture Azithromycin Packets described in this Sources Sought notice or that have pharmaceutical manufacturing capabilities under development are invited to submit information to DLA Troop Support. Data from this Sources Sought notice will be used by DLA Troop Support in making recommendations and decisions on the development of an appropriate planning and procurement strategy for Azithromycin Packets. All information submitted will be kept confidential as allowed by relevant Federal law and will be eligible for additional special protections under the conditions of the Protected Critical Infrastructure Information (PCII) Program outlined in the Critical Infrastructure Information Act of 2012.
