Description
Department of Energy Idaho Cleanup Project (ICP) Core Pre-solicitation Conference, Site Tour & Industry One-on-One Sessions October 6 th - 9 th, 2014 Shiloh Inn Suites Hotel - Idaho Falls 780 Lindsay Boulevard Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402 DOE will conduct a pre-solicitation conference, site tour and industry one-on-one sessions for the ICP Core procurement. DOE has scheduled these activities to be held October 6 th - 9 th, 2014. To facilitate the government's planning; please provide the name, organizational affiliation, telephone number, e-mail address and citizenship of each proposed attendee to the following email address: lori.sehlhorst@emcbc.doe.gov no later than 1:00 P.M. EDT, October 3, 2014. Only U.S. Citizens are permitted. A valid form of picture ID must be provided to security personnel in order to obtain entrance to the site. Attendance at the pre-solicitation conference and site tour is not mandatory. The Government will not reimburse any contractor for expenses related to attendance at these activities. Day 1, October 6 th : PRE-SOLICITATION CONFERENCE (2pm - 6pm) The pre-solicitation conference will be held on Monday, October 6 th commencing at 2:00 pm at the Shiloh Inn. DOE will provide an overview of the ICP Core procurement, including discussion of the current requirements and specific areas of the draft RFP. Either before or after the conference (1:00 - 2:00 pm and for an hour after the conference), any industry personnel planning to participate on the Site Tour must fill out the necessary logistical paperwork for the Site Tour (i.e. Badging and TLD Forms). Industry personnel are encouraged to fill out the TLD form prior to the pre-solicitation conference and bring the completed form with them on Monday. Day 2, October 7 th : SITE TOUR LOGISTICS (6am - 6pm) The Site Tour is scheduled for Tuesday, October 7th. Participants should plan to check-in the lobby of the Shiloh Inn no earlier than 6:00am. Following check-in, all participants will be transported from the Shiloh Inn to the site for the tour. The bus transporting participants to the site will leave promptly at 7:00am. Participants should plan for a full day touring the site. There is a limit of three representatives per company for the site tour. The tour will consist of outdoor travel on foot. Please ensure you wear; natural fiber clothing, including; long pants and sturdy leather closed toe shoes. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. Safety shoes are not required; however, shoes worn shall be closed-toe, above the ankle, and made of leather or other substantive materials (not cloth). If special accommodations are required, please notify Lori Sehlhorst when registering for the tour. SECURITY ISSUES Security requirements dictate that all participants remain with the tour group for the duration of the tour. There are also several prohibited items that are not allowed at the Idaho Site. These items are real or simulated firearms and ammunition, stun guns, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs and paraphernalia, explosives, hand-held weapons, chemical irritants, and items prohibited by state and federal law. Other items not allowed on the tour are copying devices, electronic recording devices, cameras, radios, cellular telephones, blackberries (an emergency number will be available), and knives with blades more than three inches long. Contraband brought to the Idaho Site will be confiscated. Please be aware that all hand carried items (packages, briefcases, handbags, purses, etc.) will be inspected. The DOE will not be responsible for securing any items during the tour. Please keep hand-carried items to a minimum. Day 3 and 4, October 8 th and 9 th : ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS The one-on-one sessions will be held at the Shiloh Inn and will be scheduled all day Wednesday October 8 th and all day Thursday October 9th. Ms. Sehlhorst will contact you via email with the date and time of your session. Participants should plan to meet in the lobby of the Shiloh Inn and will be escorted to a reserved conference room for their session.
