Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive quotations under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The government intends to solicit a quote and enter into a contract with Heidelberg Engineering, Inc., Vista, CA, 92083 for the maintenance and service of a Spectralis HRA+OCT, retinal imaging, which performs eye tracking, auto rescan features, posterior pole asymmetry analysis combined with five confocal scanning laser fundus imaging modes and ultra-wide field imaging capability. This instrument is used by the Department of Ophthalmology at the Puget Sound Healthcare System. The proposed contractor is Heidelberg Engineering, Inc., Vista, CA 92083. Service needs to be awarded before 1 November 2014 to ensure no disruption in providing patient care. The Government shall consider all responses received prior to the close date of this announcement. Written responses to this notice must contain sufficient documentation to establish bonafide capability to fulfill the requirements established above, including but not limited to brochures and product literature matching or exceeding specific capabilities to perform preventative maintenance on the Spectralis HRA+OCT equipment. All responses must be received no later than October 10th 2014, 12:00PM, eastern daylight savings time, and should indicate whether the contractor is a Small Business or Other Than Small Business. The proposed award date will be on or before November 1st, 2014.
