Description

Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Atlantic will conduct an Energy Industry Day for Naval Station (NAVSTA) Guantanamo Bay, Cuba on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 onboard Naval Air Station (NAS) Jacksonville. This Energy Industry Day provides an opportunity for Department of the Navy (DON) to present an overview of the holistic utility and energy goals at NAVSTA Guantanamo Bay (to include, but not limited to, energy resiliency, energy generation and distribution system reliability, energy security, energy conservation, energy efficiency, renewable energy generation) to Industry including the Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) currently holding U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) contracts. In addition to obtaining market research information, another important aspect of this event is to foster communication and promote opportunities for subcontracting between other interested industry parties and the ESCOs.
