Description
The United States Army Pacific Commander, has directed the implementioin of a year-round Advanced Culinary Arts Program for Hawaii based military Soldiers. The government Culinary Arts Program offered at Fort Lee, Virginia is a 5-week course that is geared towards Soldiers entering into the quote mark Enlisted Aide quote mark program and currently has a wait list. The cost of traveling to CONUS in order to attend a formal program is currently cost effective bringing a qualified Chef Instructor to Hawaii saves valuable time and money. Objectives: See attached ACF Student Team Competition Program of Instruction (POI). a.Conduct formal quote mark K quote mark and quote mark P quote mark category plated menu training IAW American Culinary Federation (ACF) standards. b.Serve as primary instructor for a 4 week pre-competition training. c.Serve as team trainer/advisor during the annual Ft. Lee Culinary Competition. The contractor will instruct the (12) Culinary Team members evaluating them as a group and individually with a meal preparation that will be judged to certify the instruction was understood and applied during live cooking exercises. The work to be performed under this contract will be performed at the F-Quad Culinary Arts Training Center on Schofield Barracks, HI in January 2015 for ten (10) days and February for ten (10) days. In addition, Ft. Lee, VA Culinary Competition for four (4) days.
