- Statement of Work This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Part 13, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This accouncement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on FEDBIZOPPS. The RFQ number is 15RQ50063. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-72 and DFARS Change Notice 20131231. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The small business size standard for NAICS Code 333515 is 500 employees. This is a Sole Source Action to be awarded to Machine Tool Research. The award is a Sole Source Action as Machine Tool Research is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and is the only source with the proprietary information required in order to complete the lathe reburbishment. Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Code 410 Contracting requests response from qualified source capable of providing: Line Item 0001: REFURBISHMENT OF BETTS LATHE E5220-1 in accordance with Attachment 1. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Award plus eleven (11) weeks. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: CONTRACTOR FACILITY. Responsibility and Inspection: unless otherwise specified in the order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements and quality control.
