- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This combined synopsis/solicitation will be posted on NECO/FBO satisfies the requirement of FAR 5.201(b)(1)(i). THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE WITH ONLY ONE SOURCE UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302 FOR THIS PROCUREMENT ACTION. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETETIVE QUOTES OR PROPOSALS. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (PHD), Port Hueneme, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis, Sole Source, the following items: 1- Saturn 8520P- PCI Serial Controller Part Number 70-00060-08 QTY 20 EA 2- 8-Port BOB with 10FT Cable Part Number 20-00061-10 QTY 18 EA. The Government reserves the right to award on an all or nothing, or partial basis. The NAICS code is: 334418 and the size standard 500 employees. This combined synopsis/solicitation is a "SOLE SOURCE Requirement". The contract type will be a Firm, Fixed Price. This requirement is SOLE SOURCED to: SIE Computing Solution Inc. (Cage Code 51398) as the only source to provide interface support to existing equipment. This vendor holds the Patent rights for the Development of CAC2S, which is a Navy product for the test and evaluation (T&E) doctrines. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
