- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is a market research tool being used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. The U. S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set-aside an acquisition for Small Business concerns only. The estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 238210 and the small business size standard is $15.0 million. The estimated time for completion is 120 calendar days. The acquisition is for the Playground Lighting in Phase II Housing at the United States Coast Guard Training Center (TRACEN) Cape May, NJ. The scope of the project consist of providing new LED light fixtures, poles, and photocells; providing new concrete foundation; providing new direct burial cable; providing new ground rods; providing new timer switch; mobilization, demobilization, cleaning up; and supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, labor and all other incidentals necessary to complete the work. Work includes a base item. At the present time, the acquisition is expected to be issued under full and open competition procedures. However, in accordance with FAR 19.502-2, if your firm is a small business concern and intends to submit an offer on this acquisition, please respond by e-mail to Cheryl P. Allen at cheryl.p.allen@uscg.mil. In your response, include a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a prime contractor. Your response is requested by October 24,2014.
