Description

This Project is a Design-Build (DB) Construction Project and shall be solicited IAW FAR 36.3 Two-Phase Design-Build Selection Procedures The selected offeror shall furnish all Labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to perform the project described in the forthcoming solicitation. Proposals and subsequent performance shall be in strict accordance with the terms and conditions specified therein. It is the Miami VA Health Care System's (HCS) intention to reroute the chlorine injection point at the elevated water storage tank at the Medical Center. This project will include investigation of the water tower chlorination system, reconnection of the 1" chlorine injection line from outgoing line of the tank to ingoing line keeping the monitors on the outgoing line; furnishing and installing check valves on 8' line before and after new choline injection point; providing and placing recirculation pumps in the tank; and adjusting chlorine injection to keep a flow of 1ppm in the line at the monitors on the outgoing line. Project Number: 546-15-401 Project Title: Modify Water Tower Project Magnitude: $100,000 - $250,000 NAICS Code: 238220Size Standard: $15 Million A Site Visit shall be coordinated during phase II of the procedures described in FAR 36.3. There will not be a site visit conducted for phase I. This solicitation is set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses under the authority of 38 USC 8127 NOTICE: THIS IS A SERVICE-DISABLED, VETERAN-OWNED, SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE.
