- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to provide additional information regarding the NOAA Big Data Industry Day scheduled for Oct 17, 2014. 1) Vendors are invited to submit preliminary questions regarding the draft statement of objectives until 4pm EDT on Tuesday, October 14, 2014. After that time, all questions will be received at the industry day on the 17th and will be answered in an additional posting on FBO. Questions can be submitted to patrick.curry@noaa.gov. 2) Refreshments will not be served during the industry day. 3) Names on the registration list will be given name tags and guaranteed seating in the auditorium. However, if you're not on the registration list, it does not mean you cannot attend. First priority for seats will be given to those on the registration list and it will be on a first come first serve basis after the registrants have been seated. 4) During the break and after the session concludes, NOAA will host two overview presentations to give attendees additional insight into our Big Data challenges: 1010-1030: Science on a Sphere presentation (seating is limited to 30 people; seating preference for travellers who cannot attend the later sessions) 1010-1030: Okeanos Explorer Mission Overview (in the Science Center) 1235-1255: Science on a Sphere presentation (seating is limited to 30 people) 1235-1255: Okeanos Explorer Mission Overview (in the Science Center) 1300-1320: Science on a Sphere presentation (seating is limited to 30 people) 1300-1320: Okeanos Explorer Mission Overview (in the Science Center) 1325-1345: Science on a Sphere presentation (seating is limited to 30 people; seating preference for travellers who cannot attend the later sessions) 1325-1345: Okeanos Explorer Mission Overview (in the Science Center) Attendees will be able to sign up for the above presentations in the NOAA Science Center.
