Description

STATEMENT OF WORK BULK SALT FOR PARKING LOTS 1.Description of locations to be serviced: Department of Veterans Affairs Western New York Healthcare System (VAWNY), sites located at: VA Medical Center Buffalo - 3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, NY VA Medical Center Batavia - 222 Richmond, Batavia, NY 2.General Statement: The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, and supplies necessary to provide treated bulk rock salt. 3.Working Hours: Regular business hours of the EMS office are between the hours of 6:00 AM and 2:00 PM Monday-Friday with completion of service before 2:00 PM. 4.Requirements: Rock Salt, Pavement - to be delivered in bulk shipment at 20 ton per order requirement. Ordered on an as-needed basis throughout the winter season. The rock salt is to be treated with Liquid Magnesium Chloride at 6 gallons per ton prior to delivery. Price per ton for treated rock salt as described above to be delivered FOB Destination to Buffalo and Batavia. Estimate 225 tons between both Buffalo and Batavia for the season. VAMC Buffalo and Batavia need same day service for emergencies and next day service otherwise. Vendor needs to be able to provide same day and next day service. VENDOR NEEDS TO BE LOCAL TO ACCOMMODATE THIS NEED. This is a small business set aside conducted in accordance with FAR 19.5 Set-Aside for Small Business. Interested parties should reply with a bid package by 4pm EST on 10/17/14.
