This Sources Sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a Solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. The information from this market research is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain questions concerning this market research. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 334516. This is a contract request or intent of this notice is to determine the availability of qualified commercial sources technically capable of providing the annual preventative maintenance and service repair for Life Technology instruments operated by the Unites States Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory (USACIL), Fort Gillem, Georgia as follow: DescriptionQTY Life Technologies 7500 Real Time PRC Instruments4 3130-16 Genetic Analyzers6 BSD 600 Duet2 9700-96 Well, Sample Module19 The intent of this notice is to determine the availability of qualified commercial sources technical capable of providing the below: Annual preventative maintenance for the Life Technologies 7500 Real-Time PRC Instruments, 3130-16 Genetic Analyzers, BSD 600 Duet and 9700-96 Well Sample Modules (including computers and software) which covers all of the required maintenance outlined in the instrument handbook provided by the instrument manufacturer. Repair service in an event that a Life Technologies instrument does not operate. Included also are the costs for any parts which need to be replaced and the consumables needed to perform the maintenance. The service also covers any repairs that are needed on the instrument and software updates during the covered period. Repairs will include the cost of the parts and labor associated with the repair. The technical support line is also available for use by the customer in troubleshooting possible instrumentation problems. This Sources Sought Synopsis is issued for maximizing competition. Should anything in the requirement be construed as limiting competition, please feel to contact the MICC Special Competition Advocate (SCA) at dean.m.carsello.civ@mail.mil. quote mark Potential offerors having the skills, experience, professional qualifications, and capabilities necessary to perform the described requirement are invited to provide a capabilities statement via e-mail. The Capability statements shall not exceed five (5) pages and must include the following: 1) Company name and Point of Contact information (address, telephone, e-mail, web-site, etc.); 2) DUNS number and CAGE code; 3) Small Business Size/Certification (to include 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, etc.); and 4) Familiarity and knowledge of the requirement and 5) Advise if you can or cannot provide on a GSA Schedule. Responses are due no later than 1000hrs EST, Thursday, 17 October 2014, and shall be electronically submitted to denise.l.richardson4.mil@mail.mil. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Response is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests.
