Description
J&A The Contractor shall provide maintenance for the centrifuge and research altitude chambers facilities. Performance will be conducted at BC-B and WPAFB with the period of performance at each geographic location to be determined based on relocation of the capability from BC-B to WPAFB. The Contractor shall provide RDT&E support with a broad range of technical expertise to support the missions of the HPW. This effort includes, but is not limited to, technical, scientific, and applied research support pertaining to acceleration research, altitude protection, thermal protection, aircrew protection, aircrew performance enhancement, aircrew training, spatial disorientation, warfighter fatigue, and life support equipment RDT&E. This may also include electronic/mechanical centrifuge/chamber setup, special test equipment setup, subject recruitment and scheduling, performing physical examinations, monitoring human use, equipment scheduling, conduct of current and planned human-use centrifuge and environmental chamber protocols, collection and management of data collected during these protocols, application of currently accepted analysis methods on the collected data, and preparation of final reports and presentations of the findings from these protocols. The technical expertise that may be required includes, but is not limited to, research scientist, aerospace physiologist, aerospace human factors, and test engineer. Contractor shall comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
