Description: VA243-15-N-0040 ****Request for information only**** RECYCLABLE RECLAMATION SERVICES- NEW JERSEY HEALTH CARE SYSTEM This request for information (RFI) is posted for market research purposes ONLY. This Request for Information (RFI) is not a solicitation nor does this announcement commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Department of Veterans Affairs is not at this time seeking quotes and will not accept unsolicited quotes. Responders are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in responding to this sources sought; all costs associated with responding to this announcement will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this sources sought does not preclude participation in any future RFQ, if any is issued. Any resultant solicitation, if any, will be released through Federal Business Opportunities at https://www.fbo.gov. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The VA New Jersey Health Care System within Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN3) is seeking qualified sources that can provide cardboard 10and comingled paper recycling services for the East Orange and Lyons VA Campus locations. Some additional materials that will need to be removed are tires, florescent lamps, batteries, ballasts, pallets and mixed steel periodically as needed. The services shall include labor, supplies and removal and disposal of materials at each facility. This contract is expected to cover a base year in addition to four one year option periods. All interested parties should provide the following information via e-mail only to the Contracting Officer by the stated deadline: 1)Company Profile to include: Company name, company address, points of contact information including name, phone number, fax number and e-mail address. 2)The company's appropriate NAICS Code for this procurement category. 3) Address your experience, within the past five (5) years, and state the likelihood of your firm being able to perform refuse services within the New Jersey area. 4)Socio-economic category under which the vendor is categorized. 5) State if your firm is familiar with New Jersey state and local waste and environmental regulations. Please provide information regarding your firms experience dealing with these regulations. 6)What type of training or certifications (e.g. solid Waste Association of North America-based training or comparable) do your employees have in the following areas: a. Landfill Operations b. C&D Disposal Operations c. Composting Operations d.
