Description
The US Forest Service contemplates posting the solicitation AG-0116-S-15-0001 Tongass Roads Maintenance Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) on the Federal Business Opportunity website on or about November 7, 2014. Proposals will be due thirty or so days after release of the solicitation, and contract award is anticipated within sixty days after receipt of proposals. A set-aside for Small Business concerns is anticipated, but all interested concerns may download the solicitation. A concern who believes the best interest of the Government will be served by a different approach (for example, a HUBZone set-aside or full and open competition) should share its thoughts with the contracting officer as soon as practicable after the posting of this pre-solicitation notice but before release of the solicitation. The Forest Service reserve the right not to release a solicitation. The project is for services for general road maintenance that includes but is not limited to, surface maintenance, culvert removals and replacement, culvert and ditch cleaning, and water-bar installation. The estimated price range for work subject to Davis-Bacon is between $250,000 and $500,000. The Forest Service may make multiple awards of an IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity) contracts. The Forest Service anticipates award of firm-fixed price contracts. Offers will be evaluated on past performance, experience, capacity, and price. Awards will be to the offerors, conforming to the solicitation, that are the best value to the Government. The period of performance is anticipated from January 1, 2015 to January 1, 2018.
