- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for a Visible/NIR Uniform Source System with the following minimum specifications: Purpose: calibration and production of a uniform target for spectroradiometers. 1) Integrating sphere 12" diameter with 4" main exit port and 3 or more smaller ports (see note) 2) Sphere internal reflectance 98% or higher throughout operational range (350-2400 nm or greater) 3) Calibrated luminance range 0-35,000 cd/m2 (10,000 fL) or greater 4) Color temperature 3000 +/- 50 C 5) Automated variable attenuator to provide light level adjustment 6) Computer interface to PC w/ethernet or serial, works on 64 bit machine running Windows 7, control software (if any) provided with system 7) Calibrated to NIST standards from 350-2400 nm or greater, with report included 8) Uniformity mapping of exit port, report provided 9) Power requirements: uses 110-120V @ 60 Hz Note: The integrating sphere may be used occasionally for other purposes, hence a need for multiple smaller ports and the ability to remove and later replace lamps/detectors that may use them when in standard mode. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.g ov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=.The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred) no later than October 21, 2014. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any). NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
