Description
Advertisement for Parking Lease for the Atlanta VA Medical Center Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Competition for Lease Location The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking 300 parking spaces located in within a 2-mile radius of the. The VA is conducting a competition for space and will locate the parking spaces in the most advantageous location for the Government. The cost for build-out, lease options, and other factors will be considered when determining whether the space identified by offerors is appropriate. The parking must accommodate 603 parking spaces with gravel or paved parking surface, appropriate lighting and a non-conditioned shelter for inclement weather. A minimum of 10 HC assessable spaces are required. The parking may be existing space or may be built out to meet VA's needs. Separate locations and locations adjacent to or close to each other, which add up to the 603 spaces will be considered. A lease term of ten (10) years, five (5) years years firm will be considered. Occupancy is required on or before October 1, 2014. The delineated area of consideration in the City of Decatur, within a 5 mile radius of the Atlanta VA Medical Center located at 1670 Clairmont Road, Decatur, GA. Offers from properties inside the 100 year flood plan will be considered and evaluated. Offers from properties outside the 100 year flood plan must provide evidence that the property is located outside the 100 year flood plan. VA staff will conduct a market survey of properties offered for lease. The Government is limited by Federal Law (40USC 278a, ad Amended 10-1-81) to pay no more than the appraised fair market rental value of space. Respondents are advised that the VA assumes no responsibility to award a lease based upon responses to this advertisement.
