Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER: The Department of Veterans Affairs, SAO West - Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22, for the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS), Engineering (138) intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, Parata Systems LLC. The statutory authority for restricting competition under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) for Sole Source, commercial item acquisitions above the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT), currently $150,000, is 41 U.S.C. 1903, as implemented by FAR 13.000(a), Parata Systems LLC, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Pharmacy 2000 Automated Dispensing System is identified as the only certified and authorized provider. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 339112 with a size standard of $500 employees. Parata Systems LLC is classified as a small business under that NAICS. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the specifications above may give written notification to the point of contact no later than 8:00 A.M., (PST) on October 20, 2014. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
