Description
This REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) is for planning purposes only and is not a Request for Proposals (RFP) - The Minneapolis VA Health Care System is seeking information as to the availability of any agency providers who are a SDVOSB, VOSB, HUBZONE, 8A, WOSB, SB or Other than small business that can fulfill a potential requirement for on-site Board Certified Fellow-ship trained Interventional Radiology Physician Services. The VA Radiology Services follow the standards & guidelines set forth by the ACR. The potential solicitation would contain requirements for a 12-month base year and no option periods. During the base period, the contractor would be expected to provide 1.5 Full Time Employee Equivalent/3,120 hours of clinical service with approximately 6,476 hours of corresponding on-call coverage. The contract physician(s)' responsibilities will include the same range of Interventional Radiology services that would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility, and the standard of care shall be of a quality that meets or exceeds, currently recognized national standards as established by: The American College of Radiology Guidelines for Interventional Radiology: http://www.acr.org/Quality-Safety/Standards-Guidelines/Practice-Guidelines-by-Modality/Interventional VA Standards: VHA Directive 2006-041 "Veterans' Health Care Service Standards" (expired but still in effect pending revision) https://www1.va.gov/vhapublications/ViewPublication.asp?pub_ID=1443 The professional standards of the Joint Commission (TJC) http://www.jointcommission.org/standards_information/hap_requirements.aspx The standards of the American Hospital Association (AHA) http://www.hpoe.org/resources?show=100&type=8 and; The standards of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) http://www.sirweb.org/clinical/all.shtml The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 621111 with a size standard of $11 million. The solicitation is full and open and multiple awards will be not be considered. Offers will be evaluated on technical ability, past performance, and price. The potential procurement would be made in accordance with FAR Parts 12 Commercial Item and 15 Negotiated Contracts. Services are scheduled to begin on January 1, 2015 (or date of award).
