- Description
- THIS MODIFICATION TO THE SOURCES SOUGHT WAS DONE TO REMOVE THE FOUR INSTANCES OF QUOTE MARK IN THE ORIGINAL POSTING. The US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM), Natick Soldier Research, Development, and Engineering Center (NSRDEC), Natick, MA, seeks to enhance the mission performance, safety, and capabilities of warfighters through human augmentation/load assistance technologies. It is envisioned that these systems would provide improvements in physical capability while maintaining user safety and reducing muscular fatigue during load carriage activities. NSRDEC is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) for personnel interested in participating in a Human Augmentation and Army Vision 2025 Roundtable related to the state of physical augmentation technologies in the context of gaps and potential areas of research. The purpose of the event is to brainstorm a number of topics related to Human Augmentation capability to assist the Army in achieving Vision 2025 goals. The outcomes of the event will support an on-going Human Augmentation Front End Analysis that is supporting the Army's strategic technical goals and objectives. Tentative Roundtable Topics are as follows: 1. Track A: Man-Machine Interfaces (Algorithms, Controls Systems, and other Engineering) 2. Track B: Human Factors (Range of Motion, Safety, Comfort, Biomechanics, and Biomedical (to include injury mechanisms)) 3. Track C: Consumers/Users and their Operations/Applications 4. Track D: Standards and Test Methods This event will be held 11-12 December at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, an academic partner with US Army NSRDEC and is open to Government, Industry, and Academia personnel. Interested organizations, regardless of size, are encouraged to participate and are encouraged to submit the following information: Name Company Company Address Company Website URL Email Address Phone Number Brief description of your experience and ability to contribute to the discussion Please note that participation in this event is limited to United States citizens and is INVITATION ONLY as meeting space will be limited.
