- Description
- The Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky has a requirement for a General Contractor to provide construction services for project#603-12-601, Renovation Research Building #19. This project will be a complete renovation building 19, consisting of finishes, casework, improved accessibility and replacement of the mechanical and electrical systems to improve efficiencies, conditions and functionality of research space. At the present the building has a layout that is insufficient for current research needs. This project will improve the building layout. Additionally, the upgraded mechanical and electrical systems will reduce energy costs with the goal of achieving Green Globes certification. NAICS code 236220 is applicable to this requirement. The small business size standard is $33.5M. The estimated cost of construction for this project is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The solicitation, statement of work, specifications and drawings will be available for download at www.fbo.gov on or before November 14, 2014. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 15.101-2 as a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable source selection process. The evaluation factors and significant sub-factors that establish the requirements of acceptability will be set forth in the solicitation when released. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 36.2 will be applicable to this requirement. The anticipated response date for offer submissions for this requirement is Monday December 15, 2014 at 12:00pm ET. The period of performance will be 250 calendar days from receipt of Notice To Proceed. This procurement is a competitive offer and the solicitation will be a 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), under the authority of 38 USC section 8127, and in accordance with Public Law 109-461. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. All SDVOSB's submitting an offer for this requirement must be listed and viewable in the US Department of Veterans Affairs, Center for Verification and Evaluation database at www.vetbiz.gov at the time of offer submission as well as at the time of award. To be eligible for an award, all offerors must also have an active listing in the System For Award Management (SAM) database at the time of offer submission, and at the time of award. It is the offeror's responsibility to view the FBO website daily for issuance the solicitation and any amendments issued thereafter.
