Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced contract to Hologic, Inc. Hologic, Inc. will furnish all labor, transportation, parts, and expertise necessary to provide full service maintenance, technical support, preventative maintenance and software upgrades on the ThinPrep 2000 Processor unit located at the Louisville VA Medical Center. This requirement will be sole sourced to Hologic, Inc. because only their manufacturer trained staff are authorized to use their proprietary software tools for calibration, and providing any software upgrades to the ThinPrep 2000. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), "soliciting from a single source." The NAICS code is 811219 and has a size standard of $20.5M for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 3:00p.m. EST, October 29, 2014 to: Matthew.Cox@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate.
