- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 6.302-3(1)(2)(iii), 6.302-3(1)(2)(iii) quote mark Full and open competition need not be provided for service registrations. This is a, No Personal Service requirement for annual software, hardware maintenance and telephone remote support services. The Contractor shall provide system registrations for Martin Army Community Hospital (BMACH) Wireless Medical Telemetry Service (WMTS). The contractor shall also be able to provide American Society Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) members a device database and device registration capabilities. The Government is seeking responses to this sources sought synopsis from all interested businesses capable of providing the requirement. Small businesses, in all socioeconomic categories (including, 8(a) Business Development Program, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned Small Business, etc.) are highly encouraged to identify capabilities in meeting the requirements at fair market prices. The Philips Wireless Telemetry System is used to monitor and provide crucial real-time data of the patient's vitals and stats that are necessary for provider and nursing staff to make informed decisions regarding a patient's health. The equipment operates in the licensed Wireless Medical Device Spectrum and as such must be registered to be in compliance with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations. The FCC has mandate that all transmitters operating in the WMTS bands be registered with the Frequency Coordinator prior to use to ensure interference-free operation. This registration provides the Medical Facility the certification needed to operate its Wireless Medical Telemetry Service (WMTS) under FCC guidelines. Contractor shall provide frequency coordination services in the WMTS bands. No telephone request will be honored. Interested concerns, large and small, should indicate interest, in writing to this sources sought notice shall be submitted no later than Monday, 31 Oct 2014 8:00am EST. Information submitted must be in sufficient detail as to allow for a thorough government review of firm's interest and capabilities. This Sources Sought Synopsis is issued for maximizing competition.
