- Description
- USAF Airsave Vest Purchase Description The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Human Systems Division (AFLCMC/WNU) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price (FFP) purchase order to Eagle Industries, Inc. for the purchase of the United States Air Force (USAF) Airsave Type II survival vest utilizing NAICS code 339999. The award will provide assets for the Safe-to-Fly test and evaluation. The purpose of this requirement is to provide forty-eight (48) USAF Airsave Type II survival vests approved and compliant with current USAF standards per the attached draft Purchase Description. Required delivery dates begin in December 2014. This contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1). The Government owns the Technical Data Package (TDP) to include drawings, patterns and purchase description. After successful Safe-to-Fly testing is conducted, the entire TDP will be transitioned to the Air Force Installation Contracting Agency (AFICA) who intends to perform a source selection for a larger quantity buy. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, a vendor that believes it that it can meet the requirements herein may give written notice to the Contracts Specialist not later than 10 November 2014. All inquiries and concerns must be sent by email to Jeremy Roberts at jeremy.roberts.12@us.af.mil. Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government whether or not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Response to this sole source notice is not required.
