Description

Contractors are hereby notified that as a result of USPTO's exemption from the Competition in Contracting Act, the subject requirement may be procured in accordance with the Patent and Trademark Office Acquisition Guidelines (PTAG) and the Patent and Trademark Office Efficiency Act, 35 U.S.C. 2(b)(4)(A). The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) intends to issue a single source award to Sirsi Corporation (DUNS Number: 035036813 ), 1300 N Ashton Blvd Suite 500, Lehi, UT 84043 for the USPTO Scientific and Technical Information Center (STIC) for SirsiDynix Horizon Software. The purchase of the software is for the program office STIC to utilize for their online catalog Horizon. The software supports a number of functions and is the basis for the STIC Online Catalog, a program on the Patent Examiner's Toolkit that enables searching of the library contents. The STIC Staff Module enables entering of catalog records, inventory, and circulation of materials. It is the most advantageous product for the USPTO, considering the costs to replace the system, retrain staff, and software testing. Therefore, maintaining the current systems is the best option for the USPTO. NAICS Code is 511210 (Software Publishers), Federal Supply Code is 7030 (ADP Software), and Small Business Size Standard is $35,500,000.00. This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ). No RFQ will be issued.
